Expectedly, Google+ has rolled out the ability to create Business pages apart from the Personal page creation option it started with. And it looks like everyone’s busy setting-up pages for churches, ministries, websites, blogs etc. With this feature, its pretty much official that Google is firm on taking on Facebook and it’s going to be exciting to see the two compete with each other!
So have you set up your Google+ brand page?
If yes, please share the link to your page in the comments, I’d like to take a look!
If you haven’t created one already and wish to know how to do it, here’s how:
1. Go to https://plus.google.com/pages/create
Select the type of brand for which you are creating the page. There are 4 options here – Local Business/Place, Product/Brand, Company/Institution/Organization, Arts/Entertainment/Sports. If your brand does not fit into any of these 4, there’s an ‘Others’ category too. Now click “Create.”
2. In the next page, you can customize your page's public profile by adding a profile photo and inputting a tagline. Click “Continue.”
3. The next page gives you the option to share your page with your Google+circles. But I suggest you do this after completing the entire setup process. Otherwise your visitors would find your page pretty much empty. Now click on “Finish.”
That’s it. Your Google+ brand page is up! Get into the “Edit Profile” page to fill in all other information including photos.
Once done, don’t forget to share your page with me by posting a link to it in the comments!
