Start! is a Bible project founded by Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, a Calvary Chapel, in Riverside, California.
Though the Bible text is basically the New King James Version (NKJV), this version packs in some useful study notes for selected verses. Classified under the heads LEARN, KNOW, LIVE and GROW the notes are very contemporary and reflective with questions, comments and explanations.
According to their website, "START! is the perfect Bible for new Christians or longtime believers who want to learn more about their faith. Ideal for introducing the Bible, START! focuses on the building blocks of our faith and encourages basic discipleship through articles and devotions. Various subjects include prayer, sharing your faith, and discovering God’s will. Core biblical truths are introduced and presented in very simple language. START! will mobilize new believers with the foundational truths they need to become mature Christians."
