We have a seminar/training program going on covering how to be better shepherds in the Church this weekend and I am looking after the worship for it.
The program itself covered lots of useful concepts like how a praying community should function, elements of a community meeting, importance of building and nurturing ministries, growing the next line of leaders etc.
The session on qualities of a good servant leader drawing from the life and writings of St. Paul was especially insightful covering just about every aspect of Christian leadership.
We also had a fair amount of worship throughout the day and these were the songs I used during different sessions:
- Miracle in my heart - Brian Houston
- How great Thou art - Paul Baloche's up-tempo version
- We fall down - Chris Tomlin
- How great is our God - Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves, and Ed Cash
- Come and fill me up - Brian Doerksen
- More precious than silver - Lynn Deshazo
"Miracle in my heart" and "How great is our God" worked especially well today...waiting to see how tomorrow goes!
